Avatar: the Last Airbender has an especially strong female cast, full of all sorts of ass-kicking girls and dangerous ladies.... which makes it even sadder that Mattel is convinced that nobody of the female gender would ever dream of wanting to play with Avatar toys. (I want my Toph action figure, dammit!) Regardless, as much as I love Sokka and co, the Avatar women always need more (non-shippy) love, and so voila!
This took forever. I mean, seriously. What. Of course, the timing was not aided by the fact that for some reason I thought it'd be great to color it as a massive, poster-sized file, just in case I wanted to print the thing out in the future. And would you believe it, apparently Painter7 really hates poster-sized files and does all sorts of bad things to them while saving. Yey. Regardless.... top to bottom, left to right: Yue, Katara, Azula, Ty Lee, Suki, Smellerbee, Mai, and Toph. ETA: Because I've had many a person ask me about prints, I finally went ahead and set up a high-quality, small poster sized version over at Cafepress. ^^ I bought a copy for myself first of course just to make sure that it turned out all right, and I think it does! Just need to find a frame now. Hm. |
